Truly a Home Away from Home

Maryhill offers a spacious homelike setting nestled in a scenic wooded area where many evenings Resident can watch the deer while dining in the main dining room, sit outdoors in back yard gazebo, or sit on the Whisperglide with family and friends.

Our Resident Rooms are right sized to enable each person to enjoy some of their favorite items in their "Home Away from Home". With many sitting areas, lounges, and friendly common spaces our Residents can entertain their guests just as they would anywhere else, with our Team to assist them.

We have 75 beds, all of which are certified for Medicare stays. Of those, we offer five private rooms, which are available by waiting list, and semi- private rooms. Each Resident Room has its own bathroom and each Resident has their own closet and chest of drawers.

Cable TV hook ups are included with Residents supplying their own television. If a Resident chooses to bring their computer from home, they can make arrangements for Internet access independently. Maryhill offers a computer for common use, with Internet access, in our Activity Room.

Our Front Room is large, with both seating areas and a table with chairs and our Residents often reserve this space for family gatherings, small Church Circles, or other meetings. We also offer several other sitting areas of various size for Residents and their Families to share, and all are well used spaces.

Maryhill is the local site for the Northeast Wisconsin Alzheimer's Association Support group. We meet on the third Monday of each month at 6:00pm in the front room. This group is open to both the community at large and our Residents' family members. Bob Sauld is the facilitator and can be reached at 715-251-3172 or by e mail at bsauld@maryhillmanor.org.

A Relaxing Space to Spend Time

During the Summer months, Maryhill's Residents often enjoy outdoor activity, visiting, and perhaps a cool glass of lemonade in our spacious garden area. Therapies often use the courtyard for treatment to take a walk, or for other treatment programs needed.

The gazebo is large enough to fit a crowd, and our Activity programs are often found there on Summer afternoons. Our Residents and staff have annual "Planting Parties" each year, filling the courtyard with fresh annuals, added perenials, and vegetables of choice.

Through our "Memorial Garden" fund, donations received each year are directed toward purchase of more trees, bushes, and perennial flowers to enhance this area for the future. We are always accepting donations for this area. those contributing $25 or more will have their name added to our Memorial Garden Tree of Life.
